Xuran Song (MA Culture Creativity and Entrepreneurship 2024)
"I graduated in 2024 with a degree in Culture Creativity and Entrepreneurship. After joining JD.com in Beijing as an e-commerce operations specialist, I reflected on my time at the University of Leeds, where I discovered my potential and challenged myself beyond my limits. With the guidance and encouragement of my professors, I gained confidence and developed resilience and adaptability, essential traits in today’s fast-paced business world. A key takeaway was the significant improvement in my English, which proved invaluable in cross-border e-commerce and helped me excel in English interviews. At JD.com, I continue to leverage these skills to drive success in the dynamic e-commerce industry."

As a passionate educator, I believe more Chinese students should develop independent thinking and critical reasoning. Currently, I am the Director of Overseas Education Programs at a Beijing-based cultural education company, dedicated to helping students achieve their study-abroad dreams. It is an honor to connect with fellow alumni and share my enriching experiences with future Leeds students.

Ying Zhang (Corporate Communications and Public Relations 2017)
I graduated from CCMPR in 2017. Now I work as the leader of the MKT department in Shinyway Education in Hangzhou. Shinyway is devoted to helping Chinese students improving personal academic and comprehensive abilities, helps them study abroad in their dream school successfully.
The knowledge I acquired has greatly enhanced my job performance. Firstly, the CCMPR courses helped me gain insights into the target audience's needs. Secondly, they revealed the importance of tailoring text and words to different target audiences for effective MKT promotions and strategies. Besides, what I learned from PR class taught me how to deal with the relationship with media company. Thus, combined with my experiences in the UK, what I have learned and experienced help me deal with the MKT planning better. And I have organized and held many activities with local media successfully when I finished the study in Leeds and went back to work.
